The last few months for Mario Kart Tour (Free) have seen players go from Tokyo to Paris and more recently to London for various tour events. With the upcoming Valentine’s Tour set to arrive, Nintendo has allowed all players to try out the upcoming multiplayer feature in a new open multiplayer test. This is live from now until January 28th (or 29th depending on timezones). The prior test was restricted to Gold Pass subscribers only. It is going to be interesting seeing how this feature rolls out globally after the tests are all done.

To participate, you need to tap the menu button the cup selection screen and tap multiplayer. You need to grant access to location data for this to play with others nearby. You can then create or join a lobby with players near you or join random matches with players around the world. Save data from this test will not carry over to the full release. If you’ve not checked it out yet, Mario Kart Tour is available for free on the App Store and Google Play. Be sure to check out the thread in our forums for more discussion around Mario Kart Tour. What do you think of the support for game so far?
